Nursing at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU): collaborative BScN, advanced entry and post-diploma
The Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) lists three undergraduate nursing pathways on its official site, each aimed at a different starting point.
What the school offers (nursing)
- Collaborative Nursing Degree Program (BScN). A four-year, full-time program offered in partnership with Centennial College. Students may begin at either institution, complete the first two years with identical curricula at both sites, then move to TMU for years three and four and graduate with a TMU degree. Entry is in September only. The school is at the Daphne Cockwell Health Sciences Complex, 288 Church Street, Toronto.
- Nursing Advanced Entry Program (BScN). Described as fast-tracked entry for people with at least two years of undergraduate study.
- Post-Diploma Degree Completion Program in Nursing (BScN). For registered nurses, registered practical nurses and internationally educated nurses who want to build on their experience toward a degree.
- The collaborative program page states accreditation by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing and approval by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Becoming licensed after graduating
TMU says collaborative-program graduates are eligible to write the College of Nurses of Ontario registration examination. The CNO's own page states that Ontario RN graduates take the NCLEX-RN and that applicants must also meet its education, practice and language requirements. Registration is the CNO's decision.
How to apply
TMU's nursing page links to its undergraduate application page and says applicants must meet grade and prerequisite requirements and submit documents by the published deadlines. Check the program page and TMU admissions for the application route, program code and dates for your pathway; they can change each cycle.
How Fiabita's Study Lab can help students here
TMU's collaborative program moves between two institutions in the first two years, so a single place to keep your own notes organized helps. Study Lab can turn those notes into quizzes and flashcards and help you rehearse handoffs before clinical. It is not a TMU or Centennial tool; Fiabita is independent, has none of their course content, and AI output can contain errors, so verify against your course material.
