Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
- Account information: email address, chosen role (RN, LPN, RPN, NP, Paramedic, PAB/PSW, or student), and school name if you select student status.
- Content you submit for processing: notes, bullet points, or study material you paste into the rewrite, SBAR, incident report, placement, quiz, flashcard, or rationale tools.
- Billing information: handled entirely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Basic usage data (e.g., which features are used) to help us improve the app.
2. How your content is processed
When you use an AI-powered feature, the text needed for that feature is sent to the configured AI provider for processing and is not intentionally stored on Fiabita's servers beyond what is needed to return the response. Fiabita uses Anthropic for several clinical/documentation functions and a cost-governed OpenAI model for Study Lab generation. Supported study files are read in your browser first; the original file is not sent by the browser import path. OCR for scanned pages and images also runs in the browser before extracted text is sent. Large study material is kept in the current browser session and divided into study sections rather than silently truncated. You should never submit real patient-identifying information — see our Terms of Service for details.
3. Payment data
All payment processing is handled by Stripe. Fiabita does not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our own systems. Stripe's own privacy practices govern that data; see stripe.com/privacy.
4. Data storage and location
Our infrastructure runs on Netlify, with servers that may be located outside Canada. By using Fiabita, you consent to this cross-border data handling as necessary to operate the service.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address listed on our website. We will respond within a reasonable time as required by applicable Canadian privacy law (including PIPEDA and, where applicable, Quebec's Law 25).
6. Cookies and local storage
Fiabita uses local browser storage to remember your language preference and app settings. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
7. Children's privacy
Fiabita is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their province without appropriate consent.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
