What the school offers (nursing)

Becoming licensed after graduating

The College of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (CNNN, cannn.ca) says it regulates licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, registered psychiatric nurses and nurse practitioners in both territories, and that it became a single-mandate regulator on April 1, 2026. Dalhousie’s page says Arctic Nursing graduates are eligible to write the NCLEX-RN. Confirm current registration steps with CNNN.

How to apply

Dalhousie’s page says applications for Arctic Nursing are submitted directly to Nunavut Arctic College. It lists conditions such as a minimum age of 18, one year of Nunavut residency, reference letters, a letter of interest and background checks, and says priority goes to beneficiaries of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement and graduates of Nunavut secondary schools. Grade and subject minimums are on that page and may change.
