What the school offers (nursing)

Becoming licensed after graduating

Mohawk says graduates of the BScN are eligible to write the NCLEX-RN, which is administered through the College of Nurses of Ontario, and that Practical Nursing graduates are eligible to apply for RPN registration. The CNO's own page says Ontario RN graduates take the NCLEX-RN and RPN graduates take the REx-PN. Registration decisions belong to the CNO.

How to apply

Mohawk's pages route domestic applicants to different services depending on the program. The BScN uses the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) with program code MNM. Practical Nursing is applied for through the Ontario College Application System (OCAS), code 715. The RPN-to-BScN page lists OUAC code MRM. Deadlines are listed on each page and change every cycle.

How Fiabita's Study Lab can help students here

Mohawk offers both the RN and the RPN route on one campus, so Study Lab can serve both: practise medication and assessment questions from your own notes, and rehearse SBAR handoffs before your Hamilton-area placements. Fiabita is independent of Mohawk College and McMaster University, has none of their materials, and AI output can contain errors, so check it against your course content.
