What the school offers (nursing)

Becoming licensed after graduating

In Alberta, registered nurses are registered by the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). The CRNA says the registration exam for RNs is the NCLEX-RN, and MacEwan’s calendar says BScN graduates are eligible to write it. Outside Québec, the NCLEX-RN is the usual RN exam. Eligibility windows and other conditions are set by the CRNA, so check its site for the current rules.

How to apply

MacEwan University is listed among the institutions that accept applications through ApplyAlberta, the province’s post-secondary application platform. The BScN calendar entry says admission is evaluated through the Office of the University Registrar under three pathways. Confirm deadlines and requirements for your intake on the program page.

How Fiabita’s Study Lab can help students here

A four-year degree ending in a preceptorship rewards steady review. Study Lab can turn your own course notes into practice questions and flashcards, which helps when you are preparing for an exam like the NCLEX-RN, though it is not an official prep product.
